Honestly No Zatoichi? An expression of pure cinematic joy and a wonderful conclusion to a fantastic film. Beat Takashi Kitano has been overlooked for some serious duds here.

I'm pretty sure Grease and Singing in the Rain are better than F*cking Step Up!

Big, Billy Elliot and Napoleon Dynamite are probably my favourite from the list. That scene in Slumdog is absolutely awful. Probably the only flaw in an otherwise fantastic film. Th Hugh Grant Prime Minister dancing in LA in probably about as funny as having violent diarrhea

Personally there's a couple I'd say are missing from here 1. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 1 2. (500) Days Of Summer 3. The Inbetweeners Movie 4. Starsky & Hutch (2004) 5. The 2012 Starburst Ad :D

Damn good list! My own would have included Airplane!, [500] Days of Summer and True Lies (again, Por Una Cabeza). Am yet to see Dirty Dancing...

When I saw the title I instantly thought of Penny Lane's dance in the extended cut of Almost Famous. I was absolutely certain it would be forgotten in this list... but you guys remembered and included it!! Its inclusion makes this list a win in my eyes.

I was frankly quite surprised Moulin Rouge was nowhere on this list! Moulin Rouge has some of the finest dance sequences I've ever seen. I mean, "Your Song" with the not-to-scale Paris in the background and "Spectacular Spectacular" are wonderful; let's not even get started on the extravagant "Hindi Sad Diamonds" number, the scintillating "Sparkling Diamonds" entrance by a crooning Satine, the hilarious "Like A Virgin" number, or the introduction to the Moulin Rouge and its courtesans by Can-Can with a mash-up of Smells Like Teen Spirit, Children of the Revolution, and Lady Marmalade in the background... But for me, the real shock is that the absolutely stunning, raw, and enthralling "Tango de Roxanne" sequence was omitted from this list. That dance scene is one of the most beautiful and intense in all of the films I've seen, and I was surprised to reach the end of this list without ever seeing it mentioned. But this was a great list all the same. It made me smile a few times just thinking of the scenes mentioned.

Oh sweet bejeezus! This is a terrible terrible list! Where on earth is Moulin Rouge! There are tons to choose from, but 'Tango de Roxanne' is STUNNING! And where is the incredibly well-performed 'Me Ol' Bamboo' from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Or 'Dancing' from Hello Dolly!? Or 'Step in Time' from Mary Poppins? Or some of the dazzling pieces from Burlesque? This list was nowhere near as good as it should have been - can you start doing polls rather than releasing lists straight away?
