Actually the scene from Return of the Jedi was from the special edition, not the original.

Number 1 is way to obvious.

No love for The Sandlot? That Fourth of July night-game scene is a great movie moment PERIOD, between the looks on their faces and Ray Charles belting out "America the Beautiful" in the background... Maybe I'm overly nostalgic for that movie but its exclusion from this list feels almost criminal to me.

Les Amants du Pont Neuf wasn't included? Are you kidding me? Look it up, the scene with the fireworks is immense, and unlike LOTR, actually real.

no Attack the Block? That film had tons of great firework moments.

The fireworks scene in Third Star is my favourite. From sentimental stargazing to hissy-fit inducing c**k-up in fifteen seconds. Also, not quite a firework, but the flare scene in Donkey Punch is pretty hardcore, too.

Attack the Block's firework-in-through-a-smokey-corridor scene was excellent, Submarine had some nice pyrotechnic moments.

These Top Lists really are becoming pretty lackluster and lazy. Not only was The Sandlot left out but how about Dutch anyone?? A true movie geek would have had both of those in the top 10, not all the mainstreamers. The End.

That final image of "The Misbehaviors" from Four Rooms certainly deserves to be here. As does the sentiment of them watching fireworks in Harold and Maude. I'm sad those two were left out.
