In fairness to Brett Ratner, Matthew Vaughn had the idea of casting Vinnie Jones for X-Men 3, and Ratner inherited it when he took over. And I hate Ratner as much as he next person.

Joseph mazzello (sp?) in jurassic park? "we're back...in the car again!" mickey rooney in breakfast at tiffanys? Some of that list you could have picked anyone in the cast (Indy, Swordfish, Batman etc). No one was saving them.

I actually thought Arnie's Mr Freeze was the best thing about Batman and Robin by a country mile...

@writerdave87 Hmm, perhaps Uma Thurman is more deserving of inclusion. Any excuse for me to quote some Freeze lines though...!

Agreed very much on Orlando Bloom in Pirates! Christensen and Lloyd were really bad in the Star Wars movies, next to them Mark Hamill almost shines as an actor. And Catwoman was terrible...one of the worst I've seen. Travolta (Swordfish), Seann William Scott (American Pie) and Jordan (Space Jam) were decent in these movies I would say...I enjoyed them. Very very much agreed though on Ashton Kutcher....he's just horrifying in every movie I've seen with him. In every comedy the same routine: I'M SCREAMING AND THAT'S FUNNY ..HAHA! So lame....a guy with no comedic talent....and it gets even worse when he's trying to act serious. Then his lack of talent gets even more obvious.

What about Sir Alec Guinness, blacked up as Professor Godbole in A Passage to India? Hide your eyes (or rather your ears) when he sings a piece of classical Indian music.

I'm going to be controversial here and say I actually loved The Boat that Rocked. I don't understand what the hate for it is all about! Sure it's not particularly deep and the storyline's a little bit ridiculous, but it's fun, has a brilliant soundtrack and, although they're not the best acted or most realistic characters on film, they're certainly memorable, Dave included.

Dark City is almost sunk by Kiefer Sutherland's snivellingly OTT "mad professor" performance.

This is just a list of actors you don't like playing certain roles... Half of these are nowhere near cringeworthy, and the rest are borderline compared to other films.

I Personally don't think you should have included The Room in this list, we all know that Tommy Wiseau's performance isn't fantastic or anything, but if you're going with that logic, there's plenty more films that aren't mainstream that have terrible performances.

it seems to me that some of the people on the list has just been put in because the film itself is bad, it doesnt mean their performances were.... and lets face it with george lucas' scripts its impossible to act well, even for natalie portman & samuel l jackson.... and just because don cheasle did a bad accent didnt make his performance cringy in my opinion he was still ok in oceans 11.......although there's plenty here i do agree with as well

Having a go at Chris Tucker for making Ruby Rhod immensely irritating in The Fifth Element is a bit like saying, "Yeah, I liked Taxi Driver, but that Travis Bickle - mental, wasn't he?" It's the entire point.

Seann William Scott in American Pie 3 should be nowhere near this list and neither should Adam Sandler in Little Nicky (I'm among the minority who actually like Little Nicky).

The entire cast of Twilight should be put down and Russell Crowe in Virtuosity and Robin Hood . Ahh the hell with it, 50 of Orlando Blooms' constipated mewlings would have done!

If you're gonna include 2007's Ghost Rider, surely you must, by default, also have to include this year's Spirit Of Vengeance sequel? Cage is even worse in the new film, truly a cringeworthy performance. The high(low)light being his interrogation of some random minion "The Rider wants to come out and the only thing between him and you ... is me" ugh!

I have one thing to say; where the F is Troll 2 then? If The Room is in that list, why not Troll 2? So quotable; "The're eating her, then the're gonna eat me! OH. MY. GOOOOOOOOOOD!" Another one; "You don't p**s on hospitality, I won't allow it!" Classic! Plus the chinese kid in From Dusk Till Dawn. God awful.

Why do people keep saying Sofia Coppola is a good director? Her films are bloody c**p and it is almost like people feel sorry for her and want to gift her a career for hating her so much in The Godfather 3. Thank you for tearing Knightely, Madonna, Lopez and Berry a new one they are bloody rubbish and always the same in everything. By the way Pulp Fiction was bloody overrated and Tarantino has not made one five star film.

I have to say I am utterly stunned that Colin Farrell didn't make this list for Alexander - although maybe that's because no-one has managed to watch the entire film yet. Also, I didn't think Keira Knightley was that bad in A Dangerous Method although the film itself didn't seem to know what it was about - Carl Jung, Sabina Spielrein, Jung's relationship with Speilrein, or Jung's friendship with Freud - I definitely didn't get it as 'a film about the birth of psychoanalysis' as was claimed by the blurb. If I'm honest, if any actor from A Dangerous Method HAD to be on this list, I would've expected to see Viggo Mortensen's portrayal of Freud - totally flat and monotonous.
