Universal postpone production in wake of Paul Walker's tragic death
The Movie: A former general is disgraced and forced to fight as a gladiator in the Roman arenas. The Tech: Stab vest. Oh Maximus, if only you’d had a bit of Kevlar wrapped round your belly, Gladiator could have ended so differently.
Instead of going off to Elysium to be with your family in the afterlife, you could have stayed in Rome and gone to orgies. Tough break.

Where's the "Is it just me or is LOTRs a bit dull" feature?? Did the fanboys get their wish and the writer's been sacked? Hope you're please with yourselves ;)

Any item of 'tech' would have ruined Alive, like a fully functioning helicopter or a satillite phone with GPS or the snow cat from the Shining.. Fast Food is essentially just food and food isn't really tech now is it?

This list is awful and I can't bring myself to finish it..

It's actually an interesting point on how filmmaking has to change along with technology and how it takes away quite a few filming freedoms... Just like in horror films now, where in every single one they have to find an excuse to get rid of everyones mobile phone. The Alive one doesn't work, but the Braveheart one made me laugh.

Couldn't get past no. 44, this is the worst list Total Film has ever done, truly pointless and totally uninteresting.. Must try harder!

This is like a poor mans version of Cracked.coms 'Photoplasty' minus the doctored pictures.

Yes, pointless feauture. Lets just use it as a platform for asking as to the whereabouts of the recently pulled LOTR feature. Was the writer in fear of being killed? Or did TF realise it was a poorly contructed argument?
The TF mag is great, but your website.....mmm......not so much.

Like the one with the antibiotics, because every time i watch the movie i think exactly the same *gg*

Before Sunrise would have been much less heartbreaking if they could just text each other or add each other on Facebook. Considering the movie was made in 1995, 17 years ago, we've come a long way in terms of technology and maybe lost the mystery and excitement of romance. That was pretty deep for a comment on here wasn't it? lol

#35, High Fidelity "With his blatant lack of business sense and service like that provided by Jack White, almost certainly not." You sure that was Jack White?

Nicole Kidman plays Satine not Seline in Moulin Rouge! Get your characters names right, please.

Literally one of the worst articles I have ever read. Half of these things aren't technologies, most of them wouldn't ruin the film, and this just seems to be a random list off IMDB that someone has struggled to find something to say about rather than fifty films that fit the brief. Sort it out.

#35 MP3's have been around since the early 90's. The film is set in the late 90's. So MP3's did not ruin this film.

Why the the usual revisionist hate for Braveheart? The historical innacuracies are well documented, but surely it doesn't turn an internationaly successful, oscar winning, inspirational and iconic movie into a "steaming pile of horse s**t?"
Ths "story" tells the story of a thoroughly evil English King attempts to unsuceesfuly conquer Scotland, any speculation on the nationality of the individual who wrote this piece?.....and yes I am Scottish

Worst list ever!!!

I seriously doubt anyone with such a obviously awesome name as ROB POWER is going to be bothered by our criticism. Awful list though...
