    That was a good read. Even though I wouldn't call them all "nasty" (Dr. Evil??). Good call on Bogs from "Shawshank"...this guy was truly bad and creepy...one of the worst here on the list. I would add either Dubov or Troy from "Face/Off" to the list.

    "Friend" Rifk? Have you even watched Midnight Express? Rifki's no friend. The guy killed John Hurt's cat, amongst other things, so he had it coming. I'd put Clifton Collins Jr's Perry Smith (Capote) over Daniel Craig's, too.

    In no. 30, I think you mean 'just deserts', not 'just desserts'. I haven't actually seen the film, but I assume we are not talking about pudding.

    16? Pfft. Although I can't disagree with the top spot, I think you've got way too much comedy c**p in this list. It really ruined what could have been a 'Top 50 films to watch' thriller.

    apo1978, I assume you're joking, as I was, but 'deserts' meaning 'things that are deserved' is spelt with single s in the middle, not double, because it's related to 'deserve'.

    Soooo, Rorschach's meanest moment is something he doesn't actually do?! Poor TF, poor poor poor!! Do you people even watch films or do you just hear other people talking about them?? As someone else has mentioned, his meanest moment, without a shadow of a doubt, is flinging burning hot oil all over that dudes face!! Christ on a bike TF, you guys suck!!

    @FBVRoebuck actually, apo1978 is right. The etymology of desert comes from the latin for abandon, or forsake; nothing to do with deserve. Just desserts is a play on dessert being the last course of a meal, hence once's 'just desserts' is the ending one justly deserves.

    Sorry, a light comment has turned into a long discussion! But there are two different words spelt 'desert', one with the stress on the first syllable and one with the stress on the second. Their meaning and history are different. I tried to put a link then to a page that explained it all, but the Total Film website didn't allow the link. But if you google 'desert dessert' you'll find it. The pudding word is something else again! The trouble is that they have been used so much in puns that they have got mixed up.

    @JoshEBevans - I don't think you read the comment properly. They said that his nastiest moment involves a saw and prison bars. Josh Winning never said Rorschach was the one working the saw. Personally, I think his subsequent killing of Big Figure being the nastiest thing he did. The assault with the frying oil was nasty, but could be argued as self-defence. The killing of Big Figure was a more personal thing that didn't have to be done (the escape was already on), but Rorschach killed him anyway.

    The nazis did not attack Ed Norton for getting close to Torry. They attacked him for refusing to play by their rules in the prison. After Norton decides to leave the group due to the fact that the Nazis are selling drugs to the Mexicans, that is when the rape occurs. He becomes friends with Torry later.

    If you mentioned Kimbo Slice from Blood and Bone, you could mention Yuri Boyka (Scott Adkins) in Undisputed II and III. Also, Sir Ian Mckellen's Magneto is one dangerous prisoner, at least in a way he escaped.
