Good List but seriously how did you leave out Scott Bakula in Source Code, with the films many nods to the TV series Quantum Leap it was still a cool surprise hear Scott Bakula's voice on the phone as Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) father.

How are you defining cameo? Surely some of these are main character voices, not cameos. Vin Diesel plays the titular character in The Iron Giant, not just a fun brief cameo. I also agree with RichardMallett that Source Code should have been there. Scott Bakula as Colter Stevens father in a film which borrows ideas from Quantum Leap, and in which Scott also says "oh boy" in the same way his Quantum Leap character did at the teaser of next week's episode each time, should definitely have been high on the list.

Totalfilm, I love your site and your articles, but please update your interface. There are plenty of ways of doing lists in which the user experience is no where near as slow.

Will wheaton didn't voice nero's henchman in Star Trek, he was played by Clifton Collins Jr! 'digitally altered voice' ha ha its just Collins own voice, nothing to do with Will Wheaton.

Frank Sinatra's "cameo" in Who Framed Roger Rabbit is just an old recording of the song "Witchcraft"... He didn't actually record anything new for the film! If you're gonna take this into account, Sinatra's had vocal cameos in thousands of films!... I like the ending of Ted, where Patrick Stewart says something about Brandon Routh and that "horrible Superman Returns" movie... a movie directed by Bryan Singer, who directed Stewart in the X-Men films!

James Earl Jones isn't a cameo, however you could say that Madge Sinclair who voiced Simba's mother was a good cameo as Madge also played James Earl Jones wife in Coming To America.

Also Clooney being involved with South Park isn't a suprise. He'd already voiced a gay dog in the show and he was alsoo one of the contributing factors to the show becoming as huge as it was.

Why is Barry Humphries a cameo (his character having appeared on almost all publicity material) and yet Eric Bana as another one of the sharks (Anchor I believe) not?

Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you .... The first thing I thought of when I saw the title was Orson Welles in TF:TM, it was such an incredible piece of casting.... I'm glad it's on the list, the film in itself is far superior to the horrors commited by M. Bay..

I guess you can't put it on here because it's recent and a SPOILER and a BIG SPOILER considering how recent the movie is but Bill Nighy as the computer at the end of the World's End. Hilarious and I wasn't sure it was him to the reveal in the end credits.

"Why It's Surprising: A post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror is the last place you expect to find a rocker like Iggy Pop..." ummm, no. He's playing a DJ, a manic, drug-fuelled DJ, in a film with a soundtrack that includes P.I.L. Not. So. Strange.
