Good to see mentions for Pam Magnus and Corporal Telford. I'd put in Kane from Alien.. but that might just be because I'm obsessed with Prometheus and I suppose (although I think I mentioned him the other day) Marvin from Pulp Fiction.

Rocky is pretty unlucky. First he loses his trainer Mickey, then his foe-turned-buddy Apollo, then eventually his wife Adrian. Fights for all his worth to get out of the slums, when he does his d-bag loser brother- in-law Paulie bankrupts him. Fukkk Paulie! Rocky have strung him up in the freezer and practised on him!

Lilja from Lilja 4-ever. And Donald Duck tends to be tragically unlucky as well.

Good list. What about Sean Penn in U-Turn. He's s**t out of luck for that entire film. Also, William H. Macy as Jerry Lundergard in Fargo, he brings it on himself but he still can't catch a break

Jack Lemmon in Glengarry Glen Ross? the inspiration for 'cant catch a break loser' Gill in the Simpsons...Jack Sparrow and Pippin probably win as many as they lose. Quaid in total recall?...first of all his dream holiday doesnt work (or does it????) then after being sedated he's chased by hitmen, has to kill his best mate and his wife, is betrayed by pretty much everyone and his whole life was a lie. He also has to pull a ping pong ball from his own nose, is stabbed at least once and is kicked in the balls by sharon stone. He gives a s**tload of money to benny, who then tries to kill him.

Good shout for the Sarah Conners... How about the poor Choir Boy in In Bruges? Cedric in Goblet of Fire? Rufio in Hook! First his authority is usurped by Patch Adams then he gets shanked by Rain Man!

how about Jerry Lundegaard (Fargo) - comes up with a plan to gain more money, ends up creating a chain of events that kill 5 people and ends up arrested. Richard Hannay (39 Steps) - goes to a music hall, ends up running from both the law only to find out that he had been double crossed or Jerry in Some like it hot, while his mate ends up falling love with marylin monroe he ends up with Joe E. Brown

I try to avoid saying "but what about...?!?" to avoid sounding like a knob, but....WHAT ABOUT (1) Ned Beatty's character in Deliverance? How unlucky is that? Okay, being chubby helped along the decision to do him first, but Jeez that is unlucky. (2) Thomas Jane's character in The Mist. C'mon!! You cant get more unlucky than that character at the end! (3) Martin Short in Pure Luck. The movie is based on him being unlucky.

Harry Potter should be on this list. I mean,he had to keep defeating a nose-less wizard murderer 5 times, meets a guy who betrayed he's dead parents, gets forced to compete in the Twizard tournament against he's will and has seen a few of he's friends die.

1) The inspector from the pink panther movies who ran into loads of bad luck trying to get Inspector Jacques Clouseau. He went nuts in the end. 2) Also Inspector Jacques Clouseau's butler 3) Jealous ex boyfriend (David Bedford) in Bruce Willis's blind date 4) Crazy Scientist in Splash with Tom Hanks 5) Any villain in a Columbo movie -- its was always just one more thing with Detective Columbo - despite their painstaking effort planning the perfect murder!!

Michelle from the 2003 film Elephant is pretty unlucky. Though the movie is about a school shooting, she seems the unluckiest of all the victims in the film. She is one of the most innocent characters and is the first to die at the hands of the gunmen. Her misfortune highlights the tragedy of the situation as many people who died were not bullies. Just how merciless and cold her death is and that it starts the chain reaction of shootings earns her a spot among the unluckiest people. The film over all is extremely chilling so the fact that her death stands out is truly chilling. http://www.videodetective.com/movies/elephant/312889
