    I'm not being funny (pun intended) but you really need to learn the difference between a comedy and a chick flick. A chick flick is designed to tug on your heart strings and not tickle your funny bone, don't get me wrong there are some god awful comedies in this list so bravo, but a lot of them were films which weren't actually meant to be funny. Also, a bit strapped for cash are we TF??? I may never whatch Flight now and that will be down to you guys because I am sick to death of having to delete the bloody advert from my screen!!

    I like Me, Myself & Irene too, i'm surprised it's on here. i also don't mind Rat Race - "this is my assistant, unfortunately he was born without a personality." But all of that Wayans Brothers s**t truly deserves to be on here

    I like Me, Myself and Irene too but you may not value my support as I also find Freddy got Fingered pretty amusing.. All of the Scary Movie off shoots (Epic, Disaster, Date, Spartans etc etc) should have been number 1 on down.. I agree that Norbit is an awful film but I'd much much rather watch horribly ill concieved gags and overly gross set pieces than jokes that could honestly have been made up by unimaginative 12 year olds who think they're funny and will not shut the f**k up! That said, I like the deformed hand butler in Scary Movie 2.. Sorry

    Agreed on Me Myself and Irene, strange how when TF reviewed it originally they commented on the 'sheer frequency of belly laughs' and said 'if you don't laugh out loud at least once you need your head examined'.

    Good point Bickle84! TotalFilm, you gave Me Myself and Irene 3/5... hardly a disaster of a comedy movie. Here's your closer, verbatim; "No surprises, as directors and star play to their strengths. The plot struggles to make it to the finish line, but Carrey is in his element and if you don't laugh out loud at least once you need your head examined." And, er, I actually liked the Bottom movie! Guest House Paradiso is enjoyable. Obviously it's not for everyone! I mean, where the hell is Jack and Jill in this list?

    Actually I'm sticking up for Guest House Paradiso a bit more, it's way better than some of the s**t you've added on here! The fact Sandler's horrendous Jack and Jill isn't on says it all. And what about Ishtar? Keith Lemon? Ali G? Frankly the Borat film should be on here, too, as it was a cynical cash in where I didn't laugh once.

    This is one of the worst features Total Film has done, how can "six days, seven nights" and sex & the city 2 be considered comedies? Agreed with Jareth64, how Keith Lemon the movie isn't on here is absolutely ludicrous. I don't mind celebrity juice but the film was an absolute shambles!

    i've gotta say i love Dude, Wheres My Car? it doesnt merit multiple viewings but really, its worse than that one with jennifer aniston and gerard butler? or you dont mess with the zohan? Adam sandler portraying people from the middle east as basically backward and mostly dumb. Keepy uppy with cats...i nearly wet myself watching that..Oh and the film ends literally with people shouting.

    I thought Freddy Got Fingered was pretty hilarious in parts due to the surreal nature of the whole thing. Ditto for the Scary Movie 2 dinner scene. Can't really argue for the rest though. Fred should be #1 with bells on though.

    Rat Race is not a bad film! It is no masterpiece but I would say its enjoyable. If it must be on the list then number 50 surely. It is not worse than some of the dross you have before it.

    I loved 'Me, Myself and Irene'.....maybe because my Dad look exactly like Jim Carrey in it, but I still think there are some funny jokes in it and to place it amongst the likes of 'Vampires Suck' is a bit uncalled for.

    Great list I'd say. And for all the comments, I fully agree on Me Myself and Irene, it was a load of c**p. TF isn't responsible for each reviewers opinion of the film, it's not like some hive-mind where everyone has the same opinion of every movie!

    @Jareth Happens to the best of us. In fairness, Keith Lemon was an oversight on my part. I've not actually seen it, but the trailer alone is enough to get the blood boiling

    @gwales, I have to agree with Jareth that Keith Lemon the movie is pretty dire but if you haven't seen it then I suppose you are unable to comment. It seems to be the trend with talk show hosts that they are really funny within the limitations of their studio but the same gags do not reflect well on the silver screen, look at Ali G Indahouse, terrible film but I always found the character entertaining on the telly.

    @Andy85 You could expand that further to British TV characters. Apart from In The Loop, it's difficult to think of a good crossover. Although I do find Borat quite amusing

    @gwales I agree that Borat did have its moments but I think that worked because he was a bi-product of Ali G rather than a standalone spotlight act. Had he been presented with his own show, I think the pubic would have become immune to his shock tactic comedy punches, this type of humour wearing thin by the time Bruno hit the multiplexes. I have to be honest one of the funniest films I have seen this decade is Burn After Reading and I don't even think it was intended to be a straight comedy, I was weak the whole way through that film.

    Very good list I must say but thought it should have included The Keith Lemon Movie, Bruno, The Dictator and The Three Stooges. Also a bit surprised at the inclusion of Me, Myself and Irene.

    I agree with most of these except Dude wheres my car and Freddy got fingered, yes they are as dumb as it gets but the sheer stupidity of them worked for me... could have been more sandra bullok in there instead; Miss Congeniality anyone? Another thought: Kill Buljo, Worst. Comedy. Ever!

    Dude Wheres My Car??? How can you say its a terrible comedy!!?? Its one of those films that knows of its short comings but is still hugely enjoyable. Think of anything you can to say its bad and i will respond "And then...?". Brilliant film

    I love all rom coms by default but I draw the line at The Holiday. Most wooden acting I've ever seen (Jude Law as a widower who likes to cry, waahhh, pur-lease) plus Jack Black spends the whole film grinning like a sex pervert. Avoid.

    Who ever made this post needs to get a grip. Theres a few movies on here what were funny for example Me,Myself and Irene, Scary Movie 2 etc. if you didn't laugh once at Me,Myself & Irene you need to give yourself a slap

    I liked Me,Myself & Irene and Rat Race so poor choices there. Nearly all the Scary movies bar 1 should be on there, Date movie was easily the worst movie I've ever seen. To start a list like that go for the obvious which is pretty much every Eddie Murphy film since the Nutty professor bar Shrek and every Adam Sandler film bar Happy Gilmore.

    The writers of It's Pat included that young upstart who made Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. I forget his name now, but I'm sure it didn't hold his career back at all. Perhaps he ended up writing a few better films and finding work doing episodes of TV shows. I bet one day he'll make a comeback as a director of the big screen.

    51st the list (my opinion): Big Wedding (2013) the original French film is very bad, and I don't think that it would be nice. And the cast isn't very good. So you can vote for your confidence that this film will be terrible.

    I agree, most of Sandler's movies qualify as laughter free zones, but for me, Grown Ups was hilarious. Mostly because Chris Rock and Kevin James.

    in Rat Race, Enrico Pollini's main gimmick is that he is a narcoleptic, not his accent. Oh, and for anyone who ever makes an issue of a film entering a "Worst" list despite the initial review being OK or favourable, please remember that it is not just on person who works on the magazine / website and the person who reviewed the film most likely isn't the person who did the "Worst" feature.

    I don't agree with a lot of this list- I like The Hot Chick, Bride Wars, What Happens in Vegas, The Holiday, The Ugly Truth, and Kangaroo Jack. Gigli is cute- you have JLO to stare at if nothing else. Bradley Cooper is really funny in All about Steve- yes Sandra is annoying as s**t in it so whenever I watch that movie I just watch his parts. And Vampire Sucks is funny- the chick who plays Bella nails Kristen perfectly.

    So someone doesn't understand the difference between comedy and chick flicks ? I agree that these movies aren't the best but chick flicks aren't really supposed to make you laugh out loud but the purpose is more to make you have these 'aww' moments..

    I've seen more of these than I'd like to admit, and I've liked more of those than I'd like to admit too. there should definately be more Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin in this list, Meet Dave, Bringing Down the House, and Bowfinger come to mind
