Universal postpone production in wake of Paul Walker's tragic death
The Comedy: What's a girl to do? Julie Andrews turns up and tells you you're a princess, and now you're expected to get married to a rich Brit. Oh, and your diamond shoes are just too damned tight. This schmaltzy bit of fluff thankfully heralded Anne Hathaway's departure from the kiddie market (Hoodwinked notwithstanding), and thank goodness for that.Lowest Moment: We don't remember much, but we know the mattress-surfing slumber party was pretty insufferable.

Should have made it 100 and included all of Saltzer and Friedbergs atrocities

Santa Clause 3 is called the Escape Clause btw.

Police Academy 5 is not even close to being the worst Police Academy sequel. They are from best to worst; 2, 5, 6, 3, 7, 4, everyone knows that.

Can't help but think these '50 ...' lists are really stretching it... They'd be better served by a top 20 or 25... Many movies aren't relevant (who actually watched a sequel to Porky's?), others don't even belong on the list "Caddyshack 2" for example was freaking hilarious. Sure, providing a top 50 sounds more significant than other sites with similar lists - but its sorely lacking in content.

am i the only one who thought Dumb and Dumberer was relatively funny?
i mean given its never going to win any comedy of the year awards but its mildly entertaining and certainly not the worst sequel. Eric Christian Olsen is also very much worth a mention. For those of you your haven't seen Beerfest. Do.

Isn't this just this the 100 weirdest movie sequels article - published less than a week ago - with some tweaks?

evan almighty is better than bruce almighty, because steve carrell is both funny and likable whereas jim carrey is not. Also the sight gags are better

@hannahtyrrell - You're right. Dumb and dumberer had it's high points. It might not have been as good as the original but it was funny. I LMAO when Lloyd acts like he's going to be Harry's father. Also, this was when shia labeouf was still likeable and he was funny. Eric Christian Olsen showed he has some comedy chops between this and Not another teen movie.
@Andrewmay2604 - Just go ahead and jump on the "I hate Jim" bandwagon. What he's been doing lately is total BS but Bruce Almighty was better than Evan. You appear to be unable to associate the actor's real life with the movie (Fantasy).
What was Be Cool a sequel of? They say it gave a nod to Pulp Fiction but it's not the sequel.
Aug 5th 2013, 13:46
I see now what Be cool is a sequel to. 2 movies I never wanted to see.
Aug 5th 2013, 14:35
I can't believe you missed out the laugh free zones of The Hangover Part 3 and Men in Black 3 making them the most disappointing trilogies of all time.
Aug 5th 2013, 14:37
And Eric Willard: Get Short is an excellent film it's a pity that Be Cool took a big dump on everything that was good about it.
Aug 5th 2013, 14:47
@Ericwillard - Wasnt Be Cool a sequel (of sorts) to Get Shorty?

I love how Total Film completely defends Anne Hathaway yet again and claims she was lucky to get away from cheesy films but Justin Timberlake offerred nothing in Shrek 3. Hathaway is c**p and has all of the charisma and acting versatility of a sponge. At least Timberlake has tried different films and does not take himself seriously. Hathaway is in these films becase she wants to be not because anyone forces her, she made the choices and she was paid, get over her Total Film and keep your personal h*****ne for her and Sofia Coppola to yourselves.
And she was bloody c**p as Catwoman only just beating Halle, but then at least Halle was not totally wooden in it.

Hahahaha Igrayne...you mad?

Airplane too is amazing. I would even say its funnier than the first one

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but did anyone else almost want to hit the "Alert A Moderator" button on Johansalberg's comment?

Good list, although I think Evan Almighty is pretty decent and Short Circuit 2 is great.
