Pretty sure Eye of the Tiger is Rocky III not IV. And how can you not like Take a Look Around? Great spin on Lalo Schifrin's original score. I do take it, however that TF are not fans of rock?

how can Titanic be on the list? james horners score is one of the best things from the movie (just a shame celine dions garbage is on it), i loved limp bizkit's Take a look around, although apart from that song & Metallicas "I Disappear" most of the other songs on the album werent very good

The Batman Forever soundtrack isn't that bad. You can get MUCH worse the artists you listed.

There were actually some okay ones on this list. At that time I enjoyed "Ghostbusters 2". It was just a little almost-80's nostalgia. "Armageddon" and "Space Jam" were alright...a whole different level than J. Bieber. Also "Pretty Woman" and "Knight's Tale" were good actually, some classic tracks. Especially "MI:2" was pretty good, the Metallica track rocked. But I agree of course with Bieber, H. Montana and...the worst of the worst: Titanic...two words: Celine Dion!

There's some gems in there - the Pumpkins track is brilliant, as is the Jewel track on Batman & Robin. Also, describing PJ Harvey as 'mainstream' is a little foolish. But fair play, your choices. I'd be very interested to see your top 50 soundtracks of all time. If it doesn't include The Fountain, The Social Network or Donnie Darko, I'd be very disappointed.

Wholeheartedly agree with Gypsyboy316. Rocky IV ia an amazing guilty pleasure movie and the soundtrack is a great slice of the 80's. see also 'Transformers The Movie'. I'm gonna get some real s**t for this aren't I?

Hmm, comment vanished..Eye of the Tiger was repeated over the opening credits/montage, wouldnt shock me if they put it on soundtrack. Hearts of Fire is a decent enough song, no way worthy of the list. Some good shouts here though, far too much 'x raps' rubbish and dreary nonsense. Good to know someone else hates Dont wanna Miss a Thing, overused and with bordeline perverted undertones. Top 50 soundtracks!

Disagree with some of these suggetions, but most are right on the money. Plus erm... high school musical, pretty sure it didnt come out in 1985, was little Zac even born then?!

Man I loved the Space Jam soundtrack as a kid! Especially the Space Jam song. Also, as you have stated the parody of 'I Believe I Can Fly' - shouldn't that prove it isn't that bad? Remember singing that in school and then teaching it to my little brother.

And the Golden Child... man I bought anything in those days. I thought the Prince Batman album was pretty bad.. I seem to remember "Party Man" making it quite high in the hit parade

Rocky IV? Really? It should be nowhere near this list, great work out songs in there like no easy way out and hearts on fire. Its cheesy, like the film itself, but always rises a smile from me. Anyway, pretty spot on with the other choices.

I know you shouldn't speak ill of the (recently) deceased but Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard has got to be the worst soundtrack album I've ever heard. About Grease 2... Terrible, terrible, terrible... except for the song "Reproduction" who's actually pretty funny.

Mission Impossible 2 theme was dreadful totally agree it peed all over Shifrin, none of these soundtracks are rock they are girl rock and soft rock. The Titanic soundtrack was actually quite good, Horner is a master and is there any point salgging Nickleback they are a load of girl rock c**p. Yeah Eye of the Tiger was Rocky 3, tsk tsk.

As an avid Beatles fan, I thought the Across the Universe soundtrack and interpretations of the songs were F'n brilliant. Let it Be, I've Just Seen a Face, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Hey Jude, I am the Walrus, All You needd is Love, Dear Prudence, If I Fell, the list goes on. The actors were pacas rally cast with their voices in mind, particularly Joe Amderson, but I think they did great under Tambor's direction.
