    ....aaahh, the memories! Even it's a very much hated game, I actually enjoyed "Top Gun"...landing the plane was my favorite part of it. Surely there's lots of bad movie-games around....most games based on movies are pretty bad anyways (some exceptions exist: remember "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" for the PC?? ...gold!)

    Oh come on! You can't slate 25-30 year old games for looking 'clunky' or 'blocky' or whatever other rubbish you labelled them as! I can understand a lot of the games in this list, especially the newer ones. But the old ones were awesome at the time. It's unfair to slate something decades later by comparing them to todays market. For the record, Ghostbusters was brilliant. There wasn't much you could do with a game back then that wasn't a direct copy of every other game (Robocop/Total Recall/Lethal Weapon) that actually reflected the films events, so even if it was taken from a game already being developed, it worked. Didn't the Ghostbusters drive around the city to trap ghosts? Didn't they use the positron gliders to restrict them til the trap was deployed? Did the game do this? All yes! TF really are losing their touch.

    I'm guessing by the fact it's not in the list you guys also like the Demolition Man game? I thought I was the only one!

    It always gets slated, but i didn't mind the Matrix game. Thought it was alright. Can't believe the Wolverine Origins game isn't on here though. Random button mashing and stiff controls does not a good game make!

    I can't believe King Kong is on here- it's widely regarded as one of the better movie tie-ins and frequently makes it onto best movie tie-in game lists. Your reasons are that it doesn't have a HUD? That makes it far more realistic and genuinely tense in places. More Turok-esque than the latest Turok game and great fun to play, and a solid 80% on Gamerankings is nothing to sniff at. Also, Enter the Matrix doesn't deserve to be on here. Not an amazing game, but fun and well made at least!

    I don't think Enter the Matrix is on the list so much because it's awful. It's on the list because of how infamously disappointing it was and how much of an opportunity they wasted. At the time the game was proposed it sounded like the greatest thing ever (in particular because we hadn't seen the sequels yet). The creator's of the original film were going to write a video game sequel and it was going to contain an hour of live footage which would lead into to the film. ...and then we played the game and realized we just wanted to be Neo.

    I have to confess, I really liked Hudson Hawk - both the film, and the game (which I had on the Commodore 64)

    I really enjoyed Enter The Matrix. Although I'm not a gamer, I just liked The Matrix and didn't mind playing as Niobe.

    hey. king kong was a decent game. it wasnt the best but it had some challenge to it, half decent graffics, and fairly imersive. not having a hud made it feel like you where there more holding your spear against big creepy crawlys its not king kongs fualt you dont have a HDTV!

    No way does Enter the Matrix deserve to be on this list. While hardly a classic or even great game, it was a whole lot of fun. And obviously, if you wanted to play a Neo, then you should not have bought the game. It was made very clear that you would not play as Neo. That would not be a good reason to put a good game on this list, especially in the top (or bottom) 10. Pretty solid list though. If you want to PLAY the greatest ACTION MOVIE ever, play the new Tomb Raider. Brilliant game. Also, next time you do a countdown with games, please include year released and system it was released for. Us nerds like our facts!

    I remember there being a big rumour, if you hack the MS-DOS on ETM, you could play as Neo. HA. Not going to happen.

    Plan 9 From Outer Space wasn't actually that bad, and the reviews at the time weren't stinky either. Have to agree with the geezer on the comments here that Ghostbusters was a good, it was indeed, and at the time it actually was closer to the movie then most movie tie-ins at the time. Never played Hudson Hawk or Lethal Weapon on a console but they weren't bad on the Amiga and Top Gun on the NES was pretty cool in two player. Still can't disagree with a lot of the other stuff on the list and ET is probably the worse game ever let alone worse movie tie-in.

    King Kong was brilliant, Avatar didn't have bad graphics, Ghostbusters was ok, and Spider-Man 3 played like Spider-Man 2 (ok, it wasn't as good, but it wasn't a train wreck either!). SiMan, are you on crack? X-Men Origins: Wolverine, was a pretty good game!

    OK, you were spot-on with E.T. That was the death of the Atari 2600 gaming era. But I disagree with 'Enter The Matrix'. I loved that game! I hated 'The Path of Neo'. And Ghostbusters....I must have played that at least a few dozen times in my Commodore 64/128 days. Loved that one too.
