6 Reasons You Should Want To See Moon

Low-fi sci-fi with Sam Rockwell? Yes!

It blends CG with traditional effects techniques
.

Even though computer effects are getting cheaper all the time, the director’s lower budget meant he had to get more creative.

Says Jones: “There is some CG in the interiors, but the exteriors were a totally different ballgame. We used a very traditional model, a miniatures technique for the lunar surface and the vehicles travelling across it. Then we would use digital set extensions to actually make the landscape go off into the distance and to create the sky itself.”

I've looked up this movie before, but only realised I had on the seventh page when you mentioned the man called 'Berry' was in it. Dixon bloody Bainbridge in a Sci-Fi film with Sam Rockwell. It's got to be brilliant.

This is what sci-fi is supposed to be like, to make you feel that you are there with them, don't get me wrong I can't wait to see the new star trek. But I think this could be the film of the summer for me (if it is as good as it looks). Nice to see Sam Rockwell back on form, arguably one of the finest actors of our time, and he doesn't seem to feel the need to be an a*****e in the process ( like Christian Bale, Russell Crowe)
