Really not happy about the choice of AMC, HBO are really the only network out there capable of delivering us the Preacher adaptation we deserve. You only need to Google Frank Darabont's views on AMC to know why this is a bad idea. And you only need to look at HBO's back catalogue to realize why they are the right network for Arseface and co.

After all the speculation over the years about this person making the film, that person staring in it, the only thing that mattered in my eyes was that this absolutely should not be made into a film. TV is where this fantastic series of graphic novels belongs and I think AMC is a great place for it. There is a huge gap to be filled now that Breaking Bad has finished and this would be a truly original series as long as the writers/creators intend to be true to the books. I agree with the Total Film list, especially the non a-list bit. Apart from maybe Patrick Stewart for Herr Starr! Ultimately I don't see this getting made though.

TV is the best place for it. Its a comic, they don't have to cram fan favourites into a two hour time slot, they can drip-feed them over the course of a series. PLus Movie makers are such demograph-pandering, CGI-obsessed franchise whooores!
