I object to Tango & Cash being considered the best anything. The banter in the movie is terrible & the action scenes are poorly shot bores. In fact, ludicrous opening "Rambo's a p***y" scene with Stallone aside, the film is mind numbingly tedious. It's not even "so s**t it's good" cheese, it's just s**t.

What no Se7en? French Connection? I thought Miami Vice was good too... worst? White chicks by a country mile.

Third vote for The Hard Way, loved it when I was a kid (inevitably means my fond memories will be washed away if I ever get to watch it again).

Ditto the Hard Way The scene in which Michael J Fox pretends to be a woman in a bar so that James Wood's can open up emotionally is brilliant "oh! don't you take that tone with me!"

Big props for including Dead Heat. A really fun flick. And this list has inspired me. I am having a buddy-cop movie marathon this weekend. I have never seen The Hard Way...gonna watch that one first.

Ichi1 - come back and let us know what you think of The Hard Way. This list has inspired me too - watching Tango & Cash right now. Kurt Russell is the man

Fred WILLIAMSON played Captain Dobby in the great Starsky & Hutch update, not Fred WARD. I see your mistake though : one of them is a big black muscular guy, the other a white wrinkled old character actor.

You're right of course. Although a Ward and Williamson buddy-movie...anyone got Hollywood's number?

I cannot believe you've left out one of, if not THE GREATEST BUDDY COP flick ever!!!! 1974's pairing of James Caan and alan Arkin as "FREEBIE AND THE BEAN".....the grandaddy of ALL buddy cop flicks! and still p**ses on the poor imitations that are not worthy in treading in it's violent, homophobic, misogynistic, racist and very worthy footprints!

Another vote for The Hard Way and The French Connection. Hmm, that sounds like some appalling jazz group / album. BTW why is Steve Zahn turing into David Jason with a buzz-cut (No.22)?

I reckon there should be an 'ironic re-imagining' of Samurai Cop with Jack Black and Tracy Morgan...

I can't believe that you put Dead Heat under your Best category. That is a terrible film. Hard to believe that the writer of that film is the brother of the guy who wrote Lethal Weapon. Also, Running Scared is a much better movie than Tango & Cash.
