The Award: Best Actress in a Leading Role for Shakespeare In Love
The Speech: Bit obvious, no? One of the most famous (arguably now infamous) acceptance speeches came from Ms Paltrow, whose gushing, emotional, screeching thank you rambled on for what felt like an eternity.
Tears, hyperventilating, very loud crying... this one has it all. We’re not going to copy it out in full, but her list of thanks includes Emily Watson, Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep (“the greatest one who ever was”), plus her “wonderful agent”.
"I would not have been able to play this role had I not understood love with a tremendous magnitude," Gwynie blubs, breaking down before thanking her entire family, and her “earthly guardian angel Mary Wigmore”.
And then her grandpa. And her cousin... It really goes on.

Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman's speeches when they won Best Director and Supporting Actor for Unforgiven are just pure class. They made us understand that they don't take all this seriously, they did it with humor and dignity. Worst speech ever in my opinion? Julia Roberts winning for Erin Brockovich. But maybe it's because I just can't stand her...

Christ! The worst thing about geeks is that they cant understand feelings and this is such a case! Gwenyth Paltrow was over happy and so was Halle Berry when they won and their reactions were understandable. Grow up, get a life and move out of your parents basement kiddos of Totalfilm.
