“We’ve invented a few thing that aren’t strictly there in the game to keep it fresh because unlike most videogames we’re dealing with a mystery, the reveal of which has to be a ‘holy shit’ moment,” so says Moore of the script. All this aside, videogame movies have had a bum wrap down the years but the Behind Enemy Lines megaphone wielder believes that the flick’s source story transcends the typical videogame experience and will hopefully spin the infamous critical kicking trend around. “I would really like to think that there would be the sense that he’ll hopefully become a real cinematic character up there with the Harry Callahan’s of the world,” buzzes Moore for the confines of his LA based offices before winding up our chat and heading back to a world of Payne.
