Aliens is totally a heist movie in the same way that Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a heist movie. Team of experts gathered together to go after a valuable object, object ends up being more than any of them bargained for, people pay the cost for their greed. Just substitute alien xenomorph, highly valuable for its military applications for gold and bingo! Go back and read the article and see if Aliens doesn't match up point for point with the heist recipe.
