The Cliché: Sometimes when you hold a heist, you have to take a hostage. And where there are hostages, there's torture. And where there's torture, there's nastiness. But sometimes, a bit of music can lighten the mood, as proved by the jolly old ear-cutting scene in Reservoir Dogs.

After about ten minutes of mockney catchphrases and awful jokes, the bully will be begging for his life.

Aliens is totally a heist movie in the same way that Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a heist movie. Team of experts gathered together to go after a valuable object, object ends up being more than any of them bargained for, people pay the cost for their greed. Just substitute alien xenomorph, highly valuable for its military applications for gold and bingo! Go back and read the article and see if Aliens doesn't match up point for point with the heist recipe.
