Why is it ok to discuss rebooting Back to the Future or Robocop but if anyone were to suggest rebooting Citizen Kane or Taxi Driver they'd be set upon with pitch forks and flaming torches? A classic is a classic. Leave them the f**k alone..

Out of interest, what is the shortest time between an original US movie and its remake? All i can think of is 1992's Meet the Parents and its remake in 2000 (8 years).

"Re-Boot" for lack of a better word movies which for all their good ideas just missed the mark...DON'T "Re-Boot" flawless movies such as Robocop and Back to the Future etc.

Don't do it, it would be like trying to Reboot The Original Star Wars Trilogy. The reason Back To The Future works so well still is because of the acting, special effects and the comedy that still makes it original, it can't be replicated!
