"I tried to bring a character into it – an everyman kind of thing. I mean that was the story. that was Jan de Bont’s take and for me, I guess I took that and ran with it.

"And I also had a great stunt coordinator in gary Hives, who really put me there. Then I kind of knew a little bit more about what I was doing so I could say, 'Okay, let’s get me under the bus. Let’s hang me upside down on a wire in the elevator shaft. Yeah, I can shoot guns.'"
