Here are a few hints to this month's comedy montage quiz...
07 Apr 2006 12:24pm
Okay… so it seems like many of you people have latched onto our brave new quiz. A sincere thank you. We didn’t just whimsically feel like making a change to the format - indeed we honestly feel we are offering you more to do every month. And, trust us, every single aspect of the quiz will get better as time goes on… Just wait for our Montage Round in 115. Based on horror, and with 25 films to stew your brains over, we think it’s a massive step up from 115’s Comedy. There are, for example, no red bulbs. Stick with this. You’ll have forgotten the old Q&A in no time.

People who want prizes had better pull their socks up because, unassisted, we have already received 20/20, full marks, top answers. Sure, we’ve had a couple of 19s, 18s and even a 15 (erm, the red light? Eurotrip. One assumes that reader’s been to Amsterdam recently…), but there have been full 20s, so you’d best be doubly, triply sure before chucking your entry our way. Onto the clues…
Ah, whatever, ok, we admit it. The red light is lame and we do solemnly promise never to have another clue like that again. Sod it. It’s Roxanne. There. Less a clue, more an answer. From The Police song? Sorry.
Actual clues… People seem to be struggling with the two footballing chaps, far right. Recognise Joe Cole? Good. The bloke behind is Carlton Cole. What’s Chelsea’s nickname?
Big trouble has been had with the man holding the paper and the fish. Fair enough. It’s bloody hard. Lots of shouts for A Fish Called Wanda. Nah. Think of the breed of fish and then what line of work a man in such a hat may be in…
The French flag one. Another ‘experiment’ that wouldn’t find its way onto our new, refined Montages… The Tricolor is a clue to a language within the film’s title. And those two guns must be piping…
Okay… depending on feedback, we can put other clues up, but for now that should get you going. Seriously, congratulations on working out what you’ve managed already and thanks for giving it your time. And, to repeat, watch out for next month’s. It’ll blow you away.
