Ian Gleeson (Facebook): Any more surprising roles in the future for us?

TF: I'll begin with a question from Ian Gleason, who says; ‘One of the best doctors ever, almost died with joy realising who Radagast The Brown was in the cinema watching the Hobbit. Any more surprising roles in the future for us?’

SM: My next role is a candlemaker in the 1890s. I’m making a film at the moment called The Christmas Candle which hopefully will come out by Christmas.

So that’s the next thing I’m doing.

      One of my favourite Doctors Who's, eccentric and rambling, criminally under-rated. A welcome relief from Colin Bakers' supercilious ' I'm -too-good-for-this' interpretation. Standout story: the 4-part Paradise Towers. Those Cleaners gave me nightmares when I was littll'un . Good to see McCoy back.

      Agreed - Paradise Towers is excellent! That poor old lady (who had just tried to eat Ace i think) - all that was left was a slipper! Probably my favorite 'classic' Doctor... so dark and devious. And its great to see McCoy get some recognition at long last.

      Wow I was only semi serious when I asked this but thank you so much for mentioning it to him. It's a travesty they haven't asked him, this would have been the perfect year to properly make Dr. who a self-referencing geek fest. Sylvester McCoy may not be considered the best doctor but he's part of my childhood in a big way. Oh, and he was also great in the Hobbit
