6. Casino (1995)

It beats anything in GoodFellas for sheer, jaw-dropping gross-out: Joe Pesci putting a man’s head in a vice and squeezing it until one of his eyes pops out.

Even Martin Scorsese couldn’t believe the MPAA didn’t cut it. The scene is taken from an anecdote in Casino’s source book, in which a man’s head was crunched to five inches wide until his eyes popped out. They then burned him to death.
