Artful trash from director John Woo, proving that the best way to use John Travolta is to remove from him the burden of doing any real acting. Instead he's flat-out mental as the whooping traitor in this pumping action flick, hollering as his crew takes down a helicopter with an EMP device.

The opening of Lethal Weapon 3 The POV bomb drop in Pearl Harbor The Sum of All Fears nuke The Con Air desert airport blast Scanners may be cool/messy and The Matrix may look good, but they are not necessarily great or large scale explosions. What about the rooftop explosion from Die Hard? Or the end of Die Hard with a Vengeance? Or the fake explosion in Die Hard 4.0? Go back and try again.....

      The end of watchmen has a very decent explosion!! not much flame damage though but very cool!

      Commando??? Are you serious? In this scene you can actually see the dummies stuck to the poles in front of the building....its a shockingly bad explosion!
