We've checked and, yeah, it's still funny.
Cruise's (admittedly extended) cameo as posturing mogul Les Grossman is a joy for the mad incongruousness of Hollywood's straightest edged and most dignified leading man doing comedy for the first time - in a broad, mugging way - and making it fly rather than falling flat.

Tom Cruise is credited with his performance in Tropic Thunder, but there aren't any opening credits. If you are credited, how can that be considered a cameo? It IS funny!
