One in the ribs! Two in the gibs! It's time to celebrate the movie scraps that give other cinematic tussles awesome lessons.
We've gathered mutants and musclemen, monsters and maniacs, not to mention Arnie, Sly, Van Damme and Seagal for the mother of all movie awesome smackdowns.
So, seconds out for round one. All together now: “FIGHT!"
50. Ran-Cor Blimey!

Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) vs The Rancor: Star Wars: Episode VI – Return Of The Jedi (1983)
Slavering, stop-motion death-beast battles to chow down on the unfortunate Luke Skywalker for the delight of big slug Jabba The Hutt and his cackling chums.
WINNER! The Force is with our young Jedi as he drops a massive door on the creature’s lumbering bonce, splatting it underneath.
49. Double Trouble

Liu Jian (Jet Li) vs The Twins (Cyrill Rafaelli and Didier Azoulay): Kiss Of The Dragon (2001)
Tchéky Karyo, Jet Li’s Chinese rozzer in Paris has to get past a pair of hulking, bleached blond thugs. Specialising in bone-jarring kicks, the gruesome twosome soon have Jet battered and bleeding…
WINNER! But kicks are all they can do, so clever Jet lures them into tighter spaces where their great lanky limbs get caught under desks and he swiftly turns them into punchbags.
48. Paddywhacking

Sean Thronton (John Wayne) vs Red Danaher (Victor McLaglen): The Quiet Man (1952)
John Ford’s lusty yarn delivers cinema’s most titanic day-long brawl, with John Wayne and Victor McLaglen knocking each other silly.
Ah, begorrah!
WINNER! Everyone – the lads finding brotherly love through unarmed combat. Aww.
47. Bennett Buys It

John Matrix (Arnold Schwarzenegger) vs Bennett (Vernon Wells): Commando (1985)
Sporting some fabulously gay outfits (check out that string-vest) kidnapper Bennett and retired tough guy Matrix square off in an engine room for a claustrophobic battle of the beefy guys.
WINNER! Matrix skewers Bennett through the chest with a hot pipe… then leans in for the immortal line, “Let off some steam.”
46. Logan’s Ruin

Butch Cassidy (Paul Newman) vs Harvey Logan (Ted Cassidy): Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (1969)
Butch returns from a bank-scouting expedition to find his leadership of the Hole-In-The-Wall gang usurped by lumbering giant Logan.
Challenged to a knife duel, Cassidy follows the path of least resistance – and boots his opponent very hard in the nuts.
WINNER! With Harvey on his knees clutching his pills, Butch sends over a flailing haymaker that lays the big guy out.

I love the fight in They Live. It is hilarious, violent, and prolonged to the point of nervousness. I love it.

What about Sergeant Angel vs Trolley Boy in 'Hot Fuzz'? Down right hilarious! Or Neo vs agent Smith in The Matrix? The staircase fight in 'Casino Royale'? OR the one between Bond and that Mole in 'Quantam of Solace'? AND the epicness of the fight on top of the mill wheel in PoC: Dead Man's Chest?...... Oh there are just too many!

What about Carson versus the terrorist in Paris in Team America. Vicious, brutal and totally unchoreographed apparently.

pimpernel, those are all really mediocre fights. PoC? Seriously? I'll give you The Matrix though.

If that Seagal one is when he pushes the guy into the phonebox, that is awesome! BTW Grosse Point Blank fight is to 'Mirror In The Bathroom' - I only know as watching that fight made me download it, good dispatch with the pen. Fight at the beginning of the Watchmen is awesome too. Plus JCVD and Big chinese dude in Double Impact with the barrels, ooh yeah!
