You might think that the new breed of teen actors aren’t quite as committed to the Method as some of their older contemporaries. Well, you’d be right.

Take Rachael Lefevre, who, after reading that her character had cat-like qualities: “I watched a lot of lion attacks on Youtube and then, it’s really embarrassing, but a friend of mine went to school and suggested it and I did it and it was great. For an hour a day, as we got closer to filming, I was a cat in my apartment.”

An hour a day? In your apartment? Robert De Niro would have stitched fur into his skin, learnt to purr and refused to respond to anyone who didn’t speak to him in a really high pitched voice. While he sat in a kitty litter tray and did his business.

De Niro rating: Bobby out of ten.
