“What are you?” whispers (presumably) someone from Gotham’s financial district.
“Gotham’s reckoning,” replies Bane.
Bane’s dialogue is so sharp in the trailer it’s almost sarcastic, as though Nolan said: “You want clean audio? I’ll give you clean audio.”
Still, we’re glad the “Chris wants the audience to catch up and participate rather than push everything at them. He doesn’t dumb things down. You’ve got to pedal faster to keep up” source has finally been revealed to be talking utter nonsense.
Bane’s voice sounds great, and we’re happy we’ll be able to hear what’s sure to be a series of classic quotable lines in perfect clarity.
The fact Gotham's banker asks 'what are you' and not 'who are you' is a firm sign of Bane's monstrous power.

Could be Jim Gordon being pushed.. you do see him hospitalised in the original teaser.. I wonder if we'll get to see Bane without his protective mask. After showing us Two Face in the Dark Knight (I was one of the people who thought they were setting him up as villain for the last instalment) I'd be surprised if we didn't.

It appears to me to be John Blake. Also, this film makes Bane out to someone who would kill anyone because it fits his plan. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of deaths during the course of this film.

I guarantee that batman will either die in this film or it will end on a cliff hanger like Inception and you will never know whether Batman lives or dies. "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian"

I think Batman will die or get seriously injured (!) so he can't continue, step in JGL character to take over... With Nolan producing The Man of Steel and The Avengers taking over the world, it can't be long before a certain League interested in Justice is talked about...

I registered with Total Film for the sole purpose of discussing the change in Bane's voice with others who know their movies. I personally think they ruined the mysterious, sinister sound of the previous trailers voice. I suffer from slight hearing problems, yet I was able to clearly hear first time what was said in the previous trailer. Now it seems fake, and the second time he speaks in this trailer almost sounds like a joke. Doesn't even really sound like Tom Hardy, sounds like a cheap re-dub. Surely I'm not the only one annoyed at Nolan or whoever listening to the mostly dumb, American audience who can't handle a challenge and would rather a clearly speaking villian who sounds like some pantomine villian. Im sorry but for me, his voice isnt 'fixed'.

I'll let it slip this time Sam as your breakdown was a lot more interesting than the one on the otherside ;)

Anyone notice that in some of the shots (probably from the back end of the film) that the chin visible under the bat mask looks massively like Joesph Gordon Levitt's chin and the voice sounds like his too.

Having rewatched it... Gotta disagree FBM, I'm certain its Bale in every shot. I'm surprised TF didn't point out the Bale's facial hair in it. I mean its kind of obvious, but its worth noting it confirms Batman is out of action for a bit of time.

More importantly, he has facial hair when asking why Bane hasn't killed him. So unless he's rocking a goatee with his cowl, surely it means Bane attacks him as Bruce Wayne.

I take it that rumours of Henry Cavill showing up post credits as the 'Big-S' can be firmly scotched?

Or maybe Bane has had him prisoner for quite some time, there are shots of Wayne in prison in the other trailer. hmmmm interesting
