Scary Movie (2000)

Somewhat poetically, considering she made her movie debut in a straight-and-narrow slasher, Faris hit the payload with this Scream parody. She played final girl Cindy Campbell, and dyed her blonde locks dark to look more like Scream’s Neve Campbell.

Lampooning everything from The Matrix to Budweiser TV ads, Scary Movie was a massive box office hit (it even eclipsed Scream’s big run with a gross of $278m), but the critics savaged it. And rightfully so – despite a handful of decent gags, Scary Movie is painfully low on original ideas.

Dramatic Potential? Faris plays it straight, and is all the funnier for it.

      I used to be a fan of Anna Faris, but in her recent roles she looked like her lips have been LA'ed. Shame, I thought she was smarter than that.

      I always thought she was a cutie... but agree she has done something to her lips... LA'ed them... ha, nice way of putting it...that or simply done a Leslie Ash. For the record Smiley Face is painfully unfunny... a stoner movie made by people who have clearer never touched any nefarious substances...

      I have to admit 'Just Friends' is a guilty pleasure of mine, having just watched 'There Will Be Blood" on a long distance flight from hell, I picked a random film from a selection and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Ryan Reynolds being smug then repeatedly getting his comeuppance is possibly the main reason, but Faris's supporting turn was enjoyable also and the two had obvious comedic chemistry, not sure it deserves to be bashed so. Although I did watch 'Waiting' soon after and THAT is awful I concur.

      her upper lip in 2003 in winter break was full and stuck out nice but now it looks puffy and caved in and fake .
