A chance to flex those comedy muscles against King of the Laughs Steve Carell. Except it’s all a bit more dramatic than that.
Carell plays Dan, a widower whose kids are kept under their father’s watchful gaze. Emily appears in the form of Dr Ruthie Draper, a childhood friend of Dan’s. The pair quickly become an item - but can it last?
Stiff upper lip? Certainly not – Ruthie’s a bowl of sunshine.

Always been an actress i've not paid much attention to. Never realised it was her in the role of Linnet in Death on the Nile, played the boyfriend stealer brillaint, however i have to say Devil Wears Prada she was excellent as Emily the catty assistant.

unlike Princess Knightley or Gemma 'im posh in everything' Atherton-meh, this one can actually blend into a character and not window dress every film.

She was fantastic in Gideon's Daughter and criminally underused in the Wolfman, but in all fairness that movie is god awful
