Terry Gilliam directed this pitch-black comedy drama, which also starred Robin Williams. Jack Lucas (Bridges) is a shock-DJ whose life goes down the pan when one of his listeners goes on a killing spree.
Washed up, despondent and on the verge of suicide three years later, Black meets Parry (Willliams), a homeless nutcase, and agrees to help him on his quest for the Holy Grail. Despite the grim-sounding premise, this features many surreal flashes of Gilliam fantasy. Laidback Dude? This is Bridges at his most downtrodden.
