They're both utterly dire. I'd rather watch Troll 2. Actually that's a lie as Kristen Stewart is pretty gorgeous so I'd stick Twilight on mute and watch that.

This was great! Now do the same analysis on Twilight and Harry Potter.

Yep, I agree with this. 'Cause, if Twilight proved one thing, it really was to 'not cross a redhead', never mind whether is a revenge-filled chick or a really good-looking not-so-much-of-a-teenager :D But... what do you mean, "nonexistent chemistry between the leads"?! Never mind, this made my day :D P.S: One thing I love on male haters - how they can put both an offence AND a compliment in the same sentence, eh, Jareth64 :D LOL...

I think that comparing the two completely different storylines, would be unfair to both, each with its own positives and its negatives. Twilight changed how many of us viewed young adult romance stories, what we expected from supernatural beings and most importantly, it taught us that sleeping with a vampire was risky business whilst still human yourself. The Host, on the other hand breathed fresh breath after a dizzying whirlwind caused by twilight spinoffs, featuring bizare romances between the 'lion and the lamb', if you will. I not only enjoyed the sci-fi background but the complex relationships shared by the protagonists. I would recommended either movie without hesitation- though the Host knocked my feet from under me with utter brilliance, and it'd be my first choice every time.
