Been looking forward to this film for ages now but become slightly worried by what Woody Harrelson said about it being "PG-13 dark. The death isn’t emphasised. It’s more about this incredible girl.” The books were awesome because they didn't shy away from the death and violence. What he said makes it sound like they've twilighted it =(

Quick correction. Penny Marshall directed Big. Gary Ross wrote it.

I read Hunger Games recently and didn't rate it really. Pretty poorly written. I didn't hate the story and it kept me reading till the end but I have no real desire to read the other two. Also it really wasn't that violent. Remember, the book wasn't meant for adults and can be found in the kids section of book shops. Though if i was a fan and heard they were toning down the violence from that I would be mighty worried.

Okay yeah I'll agree with you that it's not super violent throughout but translated onto the screen there would still be a fair few gory bits. It just seems unfair that because it's readership is mostly teenagers they're going to ruin those parts just to get a lower certificate. I mean look at what the Dark Knight got away with and that was a 12A :/ I don't see why they can't do the same for this film. Keep the integrity of the book and yet still allow all it's fans to see the film.

Just read "THG" - not quite as good as expected, but still pretty good. Ending took me by suprise (in its manner). Can't wait for this adap now, more excited than ever about it!
