7. Teasers & Trailers
The first Transformers teaser trailer arrived in June 2006, with zero actual footage from the film.
Sample Youtube comment: “lol when i saw this i was like, this films gonna be good, then i saw the transformers sign GAY!!!!!!!!!”
Then, in December 2006, came the proper trailer...
This one showed off plenty of Bay-flavoured destruction (or should that be destructicon?)...
Giant robots, Shia LaBeouf looking wide-eyed, more giant robots...
And who was that girl?… Megan somebodyorother...
Reaction was mixed, but the countdown was ticking to 4th July weekend and the film’s opening…

Interesting feature,. this. I enjoyed reading it. Not much else i can say really apart from thank you so much for reminding me how awseometastic the original animated movie was. I'm going to be watching that DVD tonight. Oh and while i'm here: if Shia does have to choose between Transformers 3 and Indy 5, he should choose Transformers. I'm of the opinion that Indy 5 shouldn't be made anyway as it wouldn't be "Indiana Jones and the MacGuffin" it would be "Mutt Williams (and his decrepit old father Indiana Jones) and the MacGuffin", which would be BAD.
