    Of and the Death Star is still not a starship/spaceship just because it can move! Listen to the dialogue in the film, that's no moon, it's a space station!

    The ships that invade the planet in Independence Day aren't actually the mothership. That's the one in orbit that they blow up so that they can destroy the attacker ships. #pedantic

    Battlestar Galactica is actually a movie ship since in 1979 it played in theaters.

    If Lucas is going to keep re-hashing his sht, at least he could get Han to say something like "point oh two light years" instead of "parsecs". A parsec is a measure of distance for cryin' out loud (not that this is news anymore). He's got the CGI fu (that's all he has anymore anyway), he can FIX IT.

    The spaceship the kids made out of an old waltser and junk from explorers. carnt remember what they called it but it was mighty impressive when i was a kid lol.

    Serenity should be higher up. Whilst everyone was shedding a tear for Wash, I was still devastated by the damage done to it. That scene when it's plumeting through the air honestly made me cry (wuss I know) but no other inamate object has ever done that to me in a film.     Damn Straight the Falcon is Number 1. Fastest hunk of Junk in the galaxy. Probably the first ever Best of Movie list i nearly wholeheartedly agree with. Fair dues folks

    @mingfield Yes, a parsec is a unit of distance. However, in the Star Wars Universe, the Kessel Run refers to a journey through a specific region of space dominated by a cluster of black holes. In order for ships to navigate through this region, they have to skirt as close to the black holes as possible without getting pulled in. The faster a ship can travel - the closer to the black holes (or any gravity-heavy body) they can get. Han's boast of the Millenium Falcon being "the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs" is supposed to convey that it is the ONLY ship to have done this in such short a distance - hence, it is one of the fastet ships around. Therefore, this line is accurate, if somewhat obscure...
