Peaks Performance: One of the minor pleasures of Twin Peaks is watching characters who seem to go nowhere, but who feel like they should mean something. One notable example is Pierre Tremond/Chalfont, aka the Creamed Corn Boy. He only appears in one scene, but since he’s played by David Lynch’s son, it’s tempting to read much into his role.
Damn Fine Career... or Wrapped in Plastic? Lynch, Jr remains a key collaborator of his dad, occasionally acting – he’s briefly in Inland Empire – as well as filming some of Lynch’s more experimental side-projects. In a cute twist, when Pierre was reprised in Fire Walk With Me, Austin was replaced by his cousin, David’s nephew, Jonathan L. Leppell.
