3. Mysterio

History: Making his debut way back in 1964, Mysterio’s origin story reads like it could’ve been conceived today. Quentin Beck was a geeky SFX wizard from California, with big Hollywood ambitions. When his attempts to become a director failed miserably, Beck decided to make his name by killing Spider-Man, using his gift for illusions in place of powers.
Why he’s a fit for Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man: His Hollywood history would satisfy Raimi’s predilection for in-jokes, and the high-concept, SFX guy goes evil, is a perfect fit for Spider-Man’s cutting-edge CGI.
Who should play him: Quentin Tarantino. Okay, so he’s not the best actor, but he won’t be required to emote, Mysterio spends most of his time under a massive goldfish bowl style mask. And it’d be the ultimate Hollywood in-joke...

Although I'm sure they could do some great electricity based set-pieces, Electro has probably the s**ttest, campest costume of all time, that would never translate to the big screen. Any other comers for the s**ttest costume award?

Typo alert - it's Mac Gargan, not Marc Gangan. I'd go for someone like Michelle Monaghan for Black Cat.

This is possibly THE WORST hypothetical casting I've seen in ages. Statham? TARANTINO?? As if the news of Morbius being the villain weren't terrible enough already...

Vulture: Ben Kingsley, he has a more slender look to his face than Patrick Stewart. Also, people will recognize Professor Xavier, and have a hard time getting past that in another marvel movie. Kraven the Hunter: Not Hugh Jackman, someone larger would be better. Also, same problem as Patrick Stewart, too easily recognized as another marvel character will make it difficult for fans to believe the character. Mysterio: Quentin Tarantino would likely try to do his own thing with the character, and probably ruin it. The Chameleon: Doug Jones, the actor that played the Silver Surfer and Abe Sapien. He won't have the problem of character recognition that Patrick Stewart or Hugh Jackman would have as the level of makeup on the characters portrayed before make him unrecognizable for the most part.

Okay. Firstly, All awesome old-school villains that should all be in the marvel movies at one stage (at least). Next, i think your ideas for casting are awesome- Statham as scorpian - genius! Seriously all perfectly fitting the criteria for looks and style. Though perhaps not all the best actors ever but spidey has been missing the comic-book humour that it once had in all the comics. One problem, However. Stewart and Jackman have both already starred in Marvel re-vamps which they are both idetified with world-wide. Although For kraven, Jackman could be hairyed-up mor than normal and giner which may work, if a little sketchy. (and stewarts a bit old to be flug around on wires isn't he? i love the guy but come on be realisitic...) But i'd rather have spiderman work with the X-Men for a film against the sinister six, than have them be played by stuart and Jackman. So, what about Morbius being the villain in the new movie? HELL-to-the-YEAH. If done well it should bring some scary stuff to the movies, because lets face it; we all felt like we could puch venom in the face and get away with it didnt we? Exactly. Good luck Mr Raimi!

If Scorpion was chosen for the new villain, it would mean that J. Jonah. Jameson would have to have a much larger role within the movie.
