The Pencil trick in the dark knight. Perfect way to met the Joker

The bullet time scene in The Matrix. Sure it’s been done to death now but when I first saw that effect on the big screen I was blown away.

Transformers:
The first time Sam meets Optimus and the Autobots. Been waiting for that for a loooong time :) The Terminator: Come with me if you want to live! RoboCop: "You are gonna be one bad muthafukker!" thtump.thtump.thtump.thtump. Pixar: All of them! |
expect cars.

Nah, I have a soft spot for Cars. Probably 'cus it's the Pixar underdog. And Heavy Metal Mater needs to be seen if only for the mosh pit .

There are a lot of iconic movie moments but few which demand to be seen on the big screen. One of my favourites is the train walk from Lawrence Of Arabia. The definition of epic.

I like the anti-gravity corridor scene in Inception. The opening bank robbery scene in The Dark Knight is also big screen worthy. Various scenes in the first Transformers for the sound effects combined with some dynamic CGI.

Omaha Beach and the climactic battle in 'Saving Private Ryan' are some of the most visceral pieces of cinema ever released horrifying and fascinating in equal measure, leaving the entire audience in shock.
The post bank robbery gun battle in 'Heat', deafening gunfire, break neck pace and a benchmark for future heist films, awesome with a big screen audio! 'Harry Potter : Prisoner of Azkhaban' , not only the best adaptation by far, but if the gryphon ride didn't leave you grinning from ear to ear the first time you saw it on the big screen, you're dead inside. |
"You're such a pig fucker, Phillip"
An odyssey of profanity, a bombardment of foul language, culminating with a mock-Disney tune in the form of Uncle Fucker. South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is similarly shocking, but that scene is a sucker punch you're never quite prepared for. Too rude, perhaps? |
