Film trivia

Know any facts or trivia about a film that you think might be of interest to the forum? You might have heard it on a DVD commentary or read it in a book. Post it here.
Today I learned that in Poland, the Terminator is known as Electronic Murderer.:D An awesome name.

Another post on the same subject. The English translation of the Chinese title for Boogie Nights is 'His great device makes him famous'. I love that some countries can have such a truly literal interpretation of cinema:).

In France,'The Matrix' is known as ‘The Young People Who Traverse Dimensions While Wearing Sunglasses'.
The sequel was called 'Zion House Party'. -OK, I made that last one up.

Some of the most funny titles i've ever heard is the one for "Alien" in Poland. They called it "The Eighth Passenger of the Nostromo" and another one for "Juno" in Mexico that it was "Run, Grow and Trip"...

Sid Haig of The Devil's Rejects and other stuff was the drummer in a jazz band in the 50s.

They got a record deal and this track was released as a single in 1959.

JohnnyMac are you sure about that? According to IMDB it's known as Matrix in France.

Bit Of Trivia

Just a bit I'd like to share with the Total Film staff...

It was LUKE that was stuffed into the Taun Taun in Empire, NOT Han.

Of course, I'm referring to your 50 Greatest Star Wars Toys article...

"22 Tauntaun

The Toy: Hoth creature, on which you could sit a rider through a ‘trap door’ on its back.

Coolest Detail: Between original launch and re-release, somebody had the bright idea of slicing open the toy’s belly, allowing you to hide Han in its innards as in the film.

Collectability: Ironically, although the belly version is considered definitive, the original unsliced edition is rarer and therefore more valuable."

Thank You, and Good night! :D

Sorry tommytornado. Do you know what I did there? I read some trivia on the internet...and believed it. So, the first one's a wide spread lie, and the second one I made up. Oh dear, sorry everyone. Sorry France.
