I dont mind Tom Cruise as an actor, Hes a bit strange in real life if you believe all the gossip. He rocked in Magnolia.

I only like him Tropic Thunder, which if you've not seen what he looks like in it, check it out it's hilarious!
He is a below par actor and just doesn't really add anything to most films.

The man just makes my skin crawl. Even seeing him on the cover of last months TF made me shudder. I have never rated his acting, but I can no longer separate the man on the screen with the his public persona, and I'm not just talking about the Scientology. It's the way he conveys this over exuberant lust for life, which comes across as being essentially fake, that irritates me. And when he's acting, you can see he's acting. I am never convinced by the characters he's playing. Jerry Maguire was a prime example of this. You could actually see Cruise trying so hard to create the character of the titular hero. It certainly does not come naturally, unless of course he is playing himself, which often happens.

Let's be honest, the man is a tosser. But many actors are so that's neither here nor there. Even when he does act decently there's something so stagey about it. It's like "Look everyone - I'm acting! I, Tom Cruise am acting. Fuck I'm great". I don't have time for him these days.

We all better be carefull, Tom Cruise sees all and his probaly in control of this thread.

Na i dont mind him to much hes a bit on the loony side but hes not a bad actor.

Tom Cruise is an actor whom you'd either love or hate. I like his movies and I think he's a good actor, but off-camera I think he's a bit weird. I also like Robert Downey, Jr, he's a versatile actor and puts life into the characters he portrays. I'm really excited about his upcoming movie where he's Sherlock Holmes, that's something I have to see.

I can take or leave Mr Cruise. He was terrific in Rain Man, but overrated in Born on the fourth of July. I think he got the oscar more for the way he looked, than his performance, If there is another mission impossible movie and if as rumoured, he will be taking more of a back seat, i hope the movie will be more team driven.
