Looking for a Total Film article

Hello all,

I have some gaps in my TOTAL FILM collection, and I'm looking for a particular article for a school project. I thought someone here might be able to help me out.

Does anyone happen to know what issue contains Alan Jones using (or I guess I should say coining) the term "the Splat Pack" for the first time?

Volume and issue number, title of the article in question, and the article's page numbers would be extremely helpful.

I'm new here, so if this question has already been asked and/or answered elsewhere, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,
KM

Help needed!

Hi people,

In a TF issue last year there was an article about the concept art for the latest Hulk film along with an interview with Leterrier (director). I really want to know who the artist was that produced those particular concept images (they're incredible). The article is available on the TF website but is ambiguous as to the identity of the artist. I was wondering if someone with the issue could take two seconds to see if the artist's name was given in the printed version. I wish I could tell you which issue it was but I'm assuming it was april/may/june time 2008. Would be much appreciated.

My subscription started late...

So now I'll never know what the Top 50 of the Top 150 performances are.

Can I find the list somewhere on the website as well? Is there a PDF download of back issues available?

Save yourself a night out feature article/film overview

You'll have to forgive me I can't remember the exact name of the feature, but Total Film include a feature every month where you squeeze an entire film & key plot points into one page of script.

I was telling a friend about the Star Trek one you did a few months ago, which was absolutely hilarious. Unfortunately I have misplaced my copy of that month's issue and so can't show him the article.

Is there somewhere I can find it on the website?

Or some kind soul out there who might be able to scan and email it to me?

British Gangster films articles

Hello!

I am writing an essay on British gangster films and wondered if Total Film have done any articles or in depth pieces into the genre? If so is anyone able to tell what copy it is in?
The essay is looking at the signifying characteristics and continuing development of the genre.
Thanks :)

Sorry KJduffers19. Just seen this post. Probably too late to be of any use to you. Not sure if you're in or near London... Your best bet is the BFI Library:

It's an amazing resource.

Jackie chan injury list

hi there,

been looking about for an article i think you ran, listing all the injuries that chakie chan had received. Im doing a presentation on jackie for film studies and cant seem to find it in my collect. I have his interview in #44, but im sure you ran a more recent one indicating the huge risks hes taken over the years which i think illustrated my point.

thanks

Excellent news. Ta for letting me know - I'd emailed Jamie Graham, former Features Ed) in the hope that he'd know...
