I presume it's something to do with setting up...

If you go to Private Messages, has anyone got an option under Settings and Options for 'Edit Avatar'?

If so - congratulations, you now can use avatars!

If not, I'll talk to one...

If you sign-in, and then it tells you that you're not logged in, don't try to sign in again. Simply hit refresh on your browser....

There's an issue with caching, apparently. For example, when I hit 'Reply' sometimes it says "Please login" because it hasn't checked to see if the page should be an updated one.
