I do enjoy The Dark Knight, it has some great (imo) moments as well as Heath's Joker. Having just seen The Dark Knight Rises, it makes it seem like a better film than it is...if that makes any sense....

Very true. Its funny, the man has talent, plenty of it, and because of this I judge him much harsher than I do any other blockbuster Director. Double edged sword I suppose.
