Default Uncut versions sought

Please does anyone know how to get uncut, unmutilated versions of films.

I have been trying to get a version of 'Batteries not included' which was put out on TV in the late 80s or early 90s. Much of the psychological subtlety has been edited out of the DVD I just bought. Key shots gone.

I also need a version of 'Nottinghill Gate' which includes a scene where the failing cafe is flooded with customers. The Julia Roberts character is responsible for this and it completes the charming fairytale which is what this film is, or should be. This more complete version is the version I saw, probably in the cinema, when the film first came out.

I am most seriously looking for these two versions and if anyone could tell me where I might possibly find them on sale or even if someone can supply a copy of a recording (generous expenses paid, at least) made from TV, I would be most truly and deeply grateful.
