I know what you're saying when you know you shouldn't have enjoyed this, caught it late one night on TV and found it be mildly diverting. Mind you I don't particularly rate the original Dudley Moore version, so I suppose I didn't have the level of expectation that other viewers may have had. Brendan Fraser is ideally suited to the role of the hapless lead, but one has to wonder what the producers were thinking when awarding the role of Satan to La Hurley. Overall entirely average, does what it says on the tin but no more. 2.5/5
