James Stewart in [b]Vertigo/B]. He captures so many different feelings. He's innocent yet devious and charming yet creepy. It's a great piece of acting that's made even more enjoyable by the way that Stewart subverts his nice guy image.

This is a funny one. The film, the script and the direction belong in "Old fashioned fun" catagory; Paul Bettany in A Knights Tale (or anything else), the film is enjoyable fluff, as his his performance, however there are flashes of utter brilliance in a film where they dont belong, and for that reason he is going on my list.
