All the pretty horses.

Cormac McArthy is an author you either love or hate. The guy is totally in love with the old west and in this adaption of his book it is plainly obvious.
Billy Bob Thornton directs and produces and makes a commendable job of it. The sense of space is awesome. Some of the scenary stunning.
The cast is good ( Matt Damon and Penelope Cruz especially) but its here where it all falls down. The book evokes the feel of the country so well that it is inevitable that some of it will be lost on screen.
Its a very faithful adaptation of the book and the cast try hard to do it justice.
Worth watching but still a long way behind The Road as McArthys best adaption. 3/5
