Paul Newman hands down for me. He's pure class, whether a grizzled cop (Fort Apache the Bronx), experienced grifter (The Sting), ruthless mob boss (Road to Perdition), jaded mentor (The Color of Money) or disaster movie hero (The Towering Inferno - where McQueen also shines). As cool as Clint, with good looks, charisma and charm, Newman is a legend of the silver screen. I keep meaning to check out his other great films... among them Hud, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
