Dance of the sythetics
I always thought that Charlie Dance was the synthetic in Alien3. It would have been a great reveal after his dodgy programming got him shipped to the colony. He also had motivation to befriend Ripley and keep her alive until the Company show up.
I refuse to accept anything beyond the Alien trilogy. That includes the badly scripted prequel.
