Default V - 2010

Has anybody got sucked in by this?

I remember watching the orginal TV series back in the eighties, so I was curious to see what a more modern take on it would look like, and I have become completely hooked by it. Not content with watching it on SyFy, I have leaped forward and hoovered up all of the episodes up to the last one in the states last week (Episode 12).

Great stuff. I don't usually bother with TV. I think the last thing I watched all the way through was the first season of Dexter or Studio 60, so managing to hold my attention for any length of time is quite an achievement.

I loved it and I'm glad it's been renewed. Already hearing great stuff about what's going to happen in season 2.

I thought the remake was so unbelievably awful that I couldn't stop watching it. Car crash TV. Beautiful people acting very stupidly instead of actually acting. Plus some of the virtual sets look like what I'd get is I covered my balls in paint and slapped them against the wall.

Not that I've tried that, of course. Ahem.

I liked it a lot. Shame it got cancelled, the way it ended on a cliffhanger...Mind you, humanity seemed pretty screwed at that point. Freaking hybrids :/

As a fan of the original mini-series, I wondered how the remake would compare. Happily I was not disappointed and liked it very much.

Sadly, American television companies do tend to axe shows which they feel should be doing better in the ratings, even high quality ones like V. This is a shame when we consider the endless stream of reality and talent shows which are excreted onto our screens on a daily basis.

There's currently a campaign going on to bring it back - Project Alice, I believe? Won't link it, but if you google it you can find out for yourself.. if interested.
